Meg is a multi-disciplinary director, actor, filmmaker, and teaching artist. They are a proud native New Yorker, growing up between Queens and Putnam NY, now based in Brooklyn.
Coming from Cuban-American roots, they have a strong appreciation for cultural significance in the stories they bring to the stage and screen. As a trans/queer artist, they are curious about theatre that examines gender expression, complex connections, authenticity, and observing contemporary life.
Meg’s primary concentration is in contemporary play making - whether new, reimagined, or devised - having worked on plays such as Seminar, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, Romeo and Juliet, and Black Butterfly, Jaguar Girl, Piñata Woman and Other Superhero Girls, Like Me - as well as various original premieres.
They have worked as an actor regionally with the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival as an understudy and teaching artist, on the 2023 tour of Romeo and Juliet, as well as in the festival's 2022 Summer season of Mr. Burns: A Post-Electric Play and Romeo and Juliet. They debuted PS306 as Weller at the 2023 New York Theatre Festival with Teatro LATEA. Meg is a Roger Rees, Metropolitan, and NYAA recipient for their work on stage.
Next up, they will be directing the premiere of Anthony LoGrande’s The Boy Who Cried Wolf in early 2025, in collaboration with the playwright’s residencies. Currently, they work as a Live Video Director in residence at an off-broadway cabaret venue on Manhattan’s UWS.
In their free time, you can find them getting involved with LGBTQ+ social groups, eating just about anywhere (and anything), hanging out with their cat Tybalt, or streaming new music broadcasts on NTS.
Meg received their Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance and Film & Media Studies from Wagner College.
